Agree or disagree that life begins at 40

I always hear my family, my neighbours and old friends that life begins at 40. I want to debate them. I never have any idea but it's implications. Then my neigbor explained to me that once reached the age of 40 many sicknesses will be felt 🙄. She added that while still young, our body must be protected to avoid getting bad sicknesses from 40 up😊. I'm still far to that age but I want your thoughts about this. Will it be true that life begins at 40? What's your stand about this?
 
With the age our body gets weak so obviously after 40s we start getting diseased. I can feel that I am 47 years and I got diabates at the age of 41 years

Sorry to hear about your disease. I am hoping that your diabetes is under control with the right medicine and food intake.
 
Well, it's a saying but perhaps it also depends from one individual to another. In truth, life begins when one is born.
However, in 2015 I bought a t-shirt, intended for people like me, i.e. in the year 1975. It had this inscription in front of it in Italian "La vita comincia a 40 anni" (translated = Life begins at 40). However, whether this was true or false, I still bought this shirt.
