The default settings for flood timer is the worst on XF forums. Especially when you're creating new threads. Whenever I join a forum the first thing I do is make an introduction thread and then I'll create 4 or 5 regular discussion threads just to show my support for the forum and hopefully help stimulate a little bit of activity. Its pretty discouraging doing that when I have to wait like 3 or 4 minutes between posting each thread.

If I have to do that I'll post a thread asking for the flood timer to be relaxed. If it isn't I'll leave the forum.
